Explore Murray's Restaurant

Murray's Restaurant sits along Main Street at 1021 Main St, Munfordville, KY 42765, and it feels like the kind of place you discover by listening to locals rather than following signs. From the outside, the building may seem unassuming, even a little weathered, but stepping inside is like walking into a familiar kitchen from childhood, warm, lived-in, and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and unmistakably small-town, where regulars greet one another and visitors are quickly made to feel comfortable. The menu leans heavily into hearty, down-home cooking, with generous portions that leave no doubt about value. Breakfast is especially memorable, featuring omelets so full and fluffy they seem to be made with four eggs or more, and classic combinations cooked just right, from eggs prepared exactly as requested to savory subs piled with peppers, onions, and melted cheese. Daily and dinner specials add to the appeal, often highlighting comfort-food favorites like country ham, served in satisfying portions that draw in local diners. Desserts such as pumpkin pie round out meals with a homemade touch that fits the setting perfectly. Service is friendly and personal, the kind where the waitress knows the rhythm of the room and isn’t afraid to let guests pour their own coffee if it keeps things moving smoothly. Prices remain reasonable, making it a practical stop for travelers and a dependable option for residents. Murray’s operates with a refreshingly old-fashioned approach, accepting cash or check and keeping things simple, which only adds to its character. The overall experience reflects a slice of Kentucky life, unpolished but genuine, where good food, familiar faces, and straightforward hospitality take center stage.

The locals I met , Joyce and Joy sisters, enjoying the all you can eat country ham special. Looks deceiving. From outside looks like a old building. Inside it looks like your grandma’s kitchen. Food was more then plentiful. Omelette had to have at least 4 eggs. Good place to stop. Dinner specials looked even better.

Local hole in the wall, down home folks. Good food and some grab their own coffee. Didn't like the idea of someone smoking their. Overall great prices, good food and nice waitress. It's something to see from Kentucky.

Murray's is a small, local diner. Everyone knows everyone in there. I'm from out of town but will always stop if I blow through town!

Cute hole in the wall off I-65 serving diner classics. Cheeseburger was cooked perfect and fries were nice and crispy. Good price for the meal too.
